Queenie Lasoul is an independent artist, songwriter, and poet whose Afro-Panamanian roots and unique life journey breathe depth and resilience into her music. Born in Long Island, raised in Brooklyn and Panama, and now based in Atlanta, Queenie’s music is a dynamic blend of hip-hop, R&B, and lyrical rap infused with Caribbean soul. Her work reflects the diversity of her upbringing, shaped by influences from reggae, soca, salsa, and the rich storytelling traditions of her family’s heritage spanning Panama, Jamaica, and Barbados. Queenie’s musical path began in her early teens, inspired by her brother's poetry and the infectious energy of family members who would freestyle over reggae beats. Writing became a private outlet during her middle and high school years, but it wasn’t until college that she shared her poetry and gained recognition for her expressive storytelling. Life's challenges, including rebuilding after losing her home and job to a hurricane, further fueled her commitment to her art, which she now sees as a tool for survival, freedom, and inspiration. In collaboration with her producer and business partner, Danny Lewie, Queenie has dedicated herself to crafting music that is at once conscious, bold, and motivational. Her lyrics mirror her life—unfiltered, introspective, and filled with both vulnerability and empowerment. Influenced by artists like Lauryn Hill, Nicki Minaj, and J. Cole, Queenie’s sound combines thought-provoking lyricism with the confidence of a seasoned performer. Her music doesn’t just tell her story; it invites listeners to reflect on their own journeys and embrace their authentic selves. Beyond her own music, Queenie serves as a creative director and session coordinator, guiding local artists through songwriting, melody development, and performance prep, while also building a strong rapport with her international fanbase. She’s curated playlists for her followers, designed merch, and sold out shows independently—amplifying her brand while staying true to her roots. Queenie Lasoul’s artistry aims to build a platform for herself and others, opening doors to creative freedom and inspiring her audience to pursue their passions with courage and authenticity. As she prepares for new releases and expands her influence, Queenie remains focused on her mission to connect, uplift, and share her story with the world.
